The Blue Sky Initiative has the goal of banning all forms of geoengineering in the state of South Carolina.
As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure clean air and clear skies for the people of South Carolina, we are initiating a petition open to all South Carolina residents.
Atmospheric activities, including geoengineering, weather modification, stratospheric aerosol injection, and the deliberate release of chemicals into our skies, can potentially harm human health and safety, the environment, agriculture, wildlife, state security, and the economy of South Carolina.
By organizing the people of South Carolina to support legislation to ban this activity, we aim to protect the people of South Carolina and preserve the environment and natural beauty of our State.
We Need Your Help
Sign our petition so we can show our legislatures that we are serious about this cause.
Tennessee is leading the way
SB 2691/HB 2063, sponsored by Rep. Monty Fritts, R-Kingston, and Sen. Steve Southerland, R-Morristown, has now become law in the state of Tennessee. Its sponsors say this:
"It is documented [that] the federal government or other entities acting on the federal government's behalf or at the federal government's request may conduct geoengineering experiments by intentionally dispersing chemicals into the atmosphere, and those activities may occur within the State of Tennessee…"
New Hampshire is up next
The Clean Atmosphere Preservation Act was introduced in New Hampshire: “an act prohibiting the intentional release of polluting emissions, including cloud seeding, weather modification, excessive electromagnetic radio frequency, and microwave radiation and making penalties for violation of such prohibition.”

YES. There are already regulations in place for non-federal geoengineering activity to be reported (the federal government has exempted itself.)
The Weather Modification Reporting Act of 1972, 15 U.S.C. § 330 et seq. requires that all persons that conduct non-Federal weather modification activities within the United States or its territories report such activities to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce at least 10 days prior to and after undertaking the activities. Failure to report can result in fines of up to $10,000.

YES. In a research paper presented to the United States Air Force, it states:
Current technologies that will mature over the next 30 years will offer anyone who has the necessary resources the ability to modify weather patterns and their corresponding effects, at least on the local scale. Current demographic, economic, and environmental trends will create global stresses that provide the impetus necessary for many countries or groups to turn this weather-modification ability into a capability.

YES. Read more about the equipment and planes available for cloud seeding.
Weather Modification, Inc. manufactures a variety of cloud seeding equipment. We complete FAA-approved installations of seeding equipment, emphasizing functionality, safety, reliability, and ease of use. The type of seeding method, whether it's cloud top seeding or cloud base seeding, and the type of measurements required often determine the model of aircraft used for the mission. Weather Modification, Inc. has several types of aircraft available with a wide range of capabilities and cabin capacities. We can also provide operation and maintenance expertise.
